What is Massage?

Massage is a Therapy that can help alleviate tension and stress in the body. There are many different types of Massage, so it can be tailored to specific areas/ailments.

Massage is generally suitable for most adults but a consultation with the Therapist is recommended first as it may not be suitable for certain people. Your Doctors permission may be required first.

Massage treatments usually involve lying on a Treatment table. You will normally wear a towel, and the Therapist may use a range of creams, oils and talcs to Massage you. Benefits may include relaxation, easing stiff muscles, reducing stress and tension and a generally sense of well-being. It can also help you relax and unwind after a hard day.

We will shall shortly be introducing a new Therapist to the centre who practices in this area who is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists: www.fht.org.uk
